My journey began when I was just 7 years old. My parents took me to a flea market in Orlando, Florida, where there was a small candle business that completely captured my heart. I was mesmerized as I watched the owner create beautiful hand-dipped candles in vibrant wax colors, carefully layering, hanging, and carving them into unique designs. Customers could choose their own colors and patterns, and I still remember picking yellow and white, colors that remain my favorites to this day.

My father was equally fascinated and inspired by the craftsmanship, often talking about learning how to make candles ourselves. For years, visiting that candle shop became a meaningful tradition, and without realizing it, those early memories planted the seeds for what would later become my passion.

At 18, I began taking courses in soap making, product formulation, and candle making. What started as curiosity quickly became an obsession. I fell deeply in love with creating products by hand and sharing that knowledge with others. My first business, Unlimited Creations, was born from that passion. I remember sketching out my vision while my husband and a close friend helped bring it to life. I created soaps and candles, participated in pop-ups, and even began teaching classes. It was an exciting and meaningful learning experience.

As life evolved, my family grew, and business naturally took a back seat. After moving and starting over in a new place, I reignited my passion under a new name, Ai Natural, with a mission centered around natural and sustainable products. But once again, life, family, and work responsibilities made it difficult to fully grow the business.

Then, one day, during a heartfelt conversation with my father about business and purpose, he told me something that stayed with me: “Go back to your roots. You already started.”

At the time, I didn’t fully understand what he meant, but his words never left me. Eventually, I found myself ordering supplies, rediscovering my tools, and returning to my garage workshop. As I began creating again, formulating products, pouring candles, and crafting my very first concrete jar candle, my passion came rushing back stronger than ever. Along with it came cherished memories, renewed purpose, and the realization that this was always part of who I was.

Still, one important piece was missing: the name.

One morning, while driving to work, I called my mother, as I often do. We share a deep love for plants and flowers, and she excitedly told me about her blooming red geraniums, her favorite flowers, and also beloved by her own mother. She shared that her mother lovingly called them “Aroma.”

In that instant, everything clicked.

Aroma felt like home. It felt like family, roots, memory, and purpose all intertwined. It represented my heritage, my love for nature, and my passion for creating meaningful products. My mother also inspired the yellow heart that would become part of the brand, yellow, my lifelong favorite color, inspired by those childhood candles and my father’s influence.

And so, Aroma was born, not just as a business, but as a reflection of love, family, resilience, creativity, and intention.

Aroma Soap & Candle Co. is built on memories, passion, and the belief that the simplest things can often become the most meaningful. Every product I create carries a piece of my journey and my heart.

Today, every candle, soap, wax melt, and self-care product is meticulously handcrafted in small batches using clean, high-quality ingredients. From formulation and design to packaging, I pour my heart into every detail. My mission is to create products that are more than just beautiful, they are meaningful experiences that help create lasting memories.
